Last night I realized Harry and the Potters are playing in Memphis on Sunday and in Fayetteville, AR on Monday! Brilliant. If I didn't have a job, it'd be so much easier to enjoy the Best Summer Ever. That said, I don't really want to get fired, so I'm having to be choosier about my additional HP-related functions.
I will be going to at least one of the HaTP shows, and hopefully it will be Memphis with . On their website, Paul and Joe are asking folks to bring in book reports for some of the books on their reading list. If you do- you get a fun reward! I don't think I'll be participating in this, as I read all of the books in middle/high school, but if I can find one of my poorly written essays, I'll give it to them.
Meanwhile, my flist has given me all kinds of incentive to do good things for myself this summer. From working out, to excessive craftiness, to not being afraid to spend money to go to the places I want to go- I love it. Now, I need some folks to help me find some sweet reads for summer.
Current Summer Reading List:
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Rant by Chuck Palahnuik
Red Dragon by Thomas Harris
Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris
All the King's Men by Robert Penn Warren
My tastes range from dystopian Huxley-esque novels to quirky (but QUALITY) chicklit. I'm one of those fast readers who can devour novels and retain the info in the span of an afternoon, so suggest plenty o' reads to feed my insatiable desire for print.
