As I left my home this morning, I felt a bit of a crisp breeze on my face and realized:
Fall is here.
Meaning I've been in Arkansas for a full year now, which is about 10 months longer than I'd originally planned. YES.
So the coming of my second favorite season is a tad bittersweet, but I'm still pretty excited. Autumn in the South really is a sight to behold, and though there's nothing like a Georgia season (feeling a tad homesick for The Deep South)- I'm still stoked for the next two months.
I WILL go to a college football game this year. Last year, I was too sick to travel, but now- I desperately want to go to Athens, GA for a game, and maybe go to a couple of Razorback games here in Arkansas.
Nothing like the change of a season to drag you out of the navel gazing doldrums, and put you back in a chipper mood! Yes, I'm still chasing the California Compromise. Yes, I'm still getting the hell out of news. Yes, I still care about you (*shrug*) and I'm still missing a lot of things.
I'm just happy.
Wrockstock is sold out- and it should be amazing. There are a few things that still need to be ironed out ("The Great Breakup" is still affecting a lot of our friends), but I'm preparing my musical number and knitting furiously- so it should be a great time.
If you're going to Wrockstock- want to be a backup dancer? If so, let me know. No coordination or musical abilities are necessary. I'll be revealing a secret talent that the HP world doesn't know about just yet. ;)
Speaking of HP, SPC work is almost getting overwhelming. I need more help! More staff! More editors! More committment! I'm terrified that the boys will lose interest in the show, despite our large, vocal, and devoted audience. Oh well, that's another post for another day.
This has gone on for too long. All's I wanted to do was talk about the season.
I guess seasons aren't just about the weather.
