It's a new season of Project Runway, and I am so stoked!



As usual for the first episode of a season, there were some hot messes out on the catwalk, but I think that's why people are in love with shows like "American Idol"- they like to see crazy people fail extravagantly in public.

My favorite designers? Chris March, Christian, and Carmen. Christian's look was something I would NEVER wear, but the kid's got a very youthful vision and meticulous skills. Chris March is a diva and a half, and I LOVE that. Carmen reminds me of the nutty side of myself, and everyone loves self regarding nonsense.

I'll cut down the characters a bit later on. Right now, I'm just thrilled that the show is back, back, back!!

One Quick Note: In my opinion, Michael Kors' time has passed as a "Top American Designer". Dude, bring back Zac Posen.

Once a year I form an embarrassing obsession with a show that seems unworthy of praise, and this season- it has been Shear Genius on Bravo! I've been a Project Runway fan for a while now, and I was incredibly let down by Top Design, so I was praying that this new foray into the world of fab would be quality television.

Bravissimo didn't do me wrong! So much bitchery, so much fabulousness. Who knew a show about hair could be so hilarious? I just hope next season they find a crazy Dirrty South stylist from Atlanta to round out the bunch. I think I love them most because the guest judge for the finale is my new gay uncle.

Meanwhile, tonight I got into full summer tv mode by watching The Starter Wife, the relentlessly hyped miniseries on TBS, starring Deborah Messing. I tried to love it, I really did. I REALLY tried.
