Let's face it friends- most online sorting quizzes are really terrible. To put any stock into them when choosing something as important as your house, is absolutely ridiculous. (I know, it may sound as if I'm taking this far too seriously, but as much of my summer wardrobe is now Slytherin green and I constantly wear a Slytherin bracelet from quietish I think this is quite an important choice)

Por ejemplo, here is a question from a quiz that's popular with the myspacers:
If you were an animal, which would you be?
-lion, or something strong
-something furry, like a rabbit
-some kind of bird
-some kind of serpent

That is truly a shame. Many good, decent, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named fearing folks out there are basing their costumes, their lj colour schemes, and very personalities on these unfortunate quizzes with obvious, disturbing questions like this. Case in point: Brian, of Draco and the Malfoys. I love this man deeply, but was horrified when he admitted on my show that he wasn't really a Slytherin, but in fact- a Ravenclaw. For months, he maintained that several sorting quizzes had slipped him in with the birds, and he had no choice but to agree. Finally, at Storyville, a moment occurred that brought tears to my eyes (but mostly because it was accompanied by a rib-crushing hug): Brian held me close, and whispered these sweet words into my ear,

"Kim, I've done a lot of soul searching, and I now know, and accept that in my heart of hearts- I'm a Slytherin."

I'm not saying everyone's a Slytherin by any means, but c'mon- if more people looked deep within their souls to make their house choices (much like the sorting hat does for the wee witches and wizards in the HP series), then more of us would be in our proper houses.

Why the reason for this outlandish and rather pointless rant? Everyone (including my own mother) has been questioning my placement in Slytherin.
